About Uniper in the United Kingdom

In the UK, Uniper owns and operates a flexible generation portfolio of power stations, a fast-cycle gas storage facility and two gas pipelines, from Theddlethorpe to Killingholme, and from Blyborough to Cottam. We also have significant long-term regasification capacity at the Grain LNG terminal in Kent, to convert LNG back to natural gas.

Our generation fleet makes a tangible contribution to the UK’s supply security. We work to ensure that our power plants can operate more efficiently and flexibly. In this way, our plants can function as cost-effective complements to renewables, helping to deliver power when and where it’s needed during the transition to clean energy. 

We make our power production available to the market through our trading activities and provide balancing customised services to the UK system operator.
