Uniper’s very first product, hydroelectricity from Höllriegelskreuth power plant in southeast Germany, which began operating in 1894, was zero-carbon. Our current range of products and services continues to reflect our commitment to ensuring supply security with steadily cleaner energy.

Uniper’s two biggest products are gas and electricity for wholesale customers in Europe. Most of our electricity comes from low- and zero-carbon sources, and customers can opt for certified 100% renewable. In addition, we trade a variety of energy commodities – including gas, LNG, helium, and low-sulfur marine fuels – in Europe, North America, and Asia. We also offer a full range of green products and services, particularly to help industrial enterprises and utilities decarbonize their energy supply and operations.
