Düsseldorf Headquarter

Uniper has been based at our headquarters in Düsseldorf's Media Harbour since 2019. Our central office consists of the two buildings Caprocorn and Float, which are connected by a walkway to form a single unit. Around 2,500 employees from the region work at the site.

Maasvlakte - Netherlands

Our Maasvlakte site in the Netherlands produces electricity, steam and heat on an industrial scale for various industrial customers located near our power plant. We also aim to supply a range of innovative energy products to our partners and customers throughout the Zuid-Holland region.

Holford - United Kingdom

The Holford flexible natural gas storage facility is located 30km southwest of Manchester, United Kingdom and can be used to balance short-term fluctuations in demand. Operations began in November 2011 - all eight caverns have been in operation since February 2013. Due to on-site expertise, the storage volume available to customers has been increased twice

Flexible workplace - Our teams define how, when and where they work.

We empower our teams to make conscious choices about the way they collaborate. This can have many forms and shapes – physically in the same space, virtually, in a hybrid setting or asynchronously, i.e. without being “present” at the same exact moment in time. Each team defines its own working mode. By doing so, we achieve an optimized team performance and enhanced individual flexibility, while ultimately increasing business productivity and reducing our carbon footprint.

Office spaces - Our offices are hubs for collaboration and networking.

When working in our offices, teams sit together in their home zone. Employees can book a workspace via our digital booking system. We believe in the benefits of working in open spaces as it encourages internal networking.

Teams can work together in creative collaboration rooms. At the same time, the office also offers space for confidential talks and individual focus time.

Home Office - We provide a modern and healthy workplace at home.

At Uniper, the classic office workplace and the home office workplace are regarded as equal options.

That is why Uniper is committed to making employees’ home offices safe by providing the necessary IT equipment and ergonomic furniture, delivering it directly to our homes and installing the home office setup.

Customized design options ensure that individual needs and interests are considered. The high quality and adjustable furniture is both stylish and supports physical well-being.

Geographic flexibility - We do our job from different places.

At Uniper, where we work is not limited to the office and the home office: we are free to choose where to work inside the employment country, as long as it is compatible with the team agreement and technical and data protection requirements are met.

Some employees are also eligible to work outside of the employment country - our “GeoFlex“ approach details the conditions for working abroad, based on the destination country, duration of stay and Uniper job function. GeoFlex currently includes most EU countries and the EEA as well as the UK and Switzerland.
