With a clear focus on future-oriented  investments, we ensure that capital has an impact where it enables real progress: in the decarbonization of our business activities and the transformation of our portfolio. By integrating environmental and social criteria into our financing and investment decisions, we make an active contribution to the transformation of the energy industry and create added value for the environment, society and our stakeholders. To this end, Uniper plans to invest around €8 billion in its transformation by the early 2030s, while ensuring security of energy supply for customers and markets.

In 2024, Uniper successfully increased its new syndicated credit facility with 19 banks from EUR 1.7 billion to EUR 3 billion. At the beginning of 2025, the term of the facility was extended by one year to 2028.

The new loan agreement is a so-called “sustainability-linked credit”. The financing conditions are linked to the achievement of CO₂ reduction targets and strategic expansion targets in the area of renewable energies.
