Uniper's power plant in Rotterdam Capelle is located at Capelseweg 400, within walking distance of Rotterdam Alexander train station.
Capelle is short for Capelle aan den IJssel, a growing municipality that borders Rotterdam.

About energy production
RoCa is a modern natural gas power plant that has been operational since 1983. Here, we convert natural gas into electricity and heat using CCGT technology (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine).
Uniper contributes to the regional energy supply in this way. The generated heat is supplied to the heating network of both Rotterdam and Capelle, helping to heat homes and businesses in the area. With a net electrical output of 264 MW, this plant plays a key role in the local energy market.
