HSSE & Sustainability Policy Statement
The HSSE & Sustainability Policy Statement defines our objectives and priorities with regard to HSSE & S (Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Sustainability). It provides the framework for the development of our Sustainability Strategy Plan (SSP) and the evaluation of its effectiveness.
The Uniper Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct is binding for all employees and sets out key principles of conduct. It covers a wide range of topics, including the fight against corruption and the protection of human rights. It provides guidance and support for entrepreneurial action and conduct in the workplace in accordance with the law and company rules. Each year, the members of the Executive Board and senior managers sign a written commitment to comply with the Code. The Code is reviewed and updated at regular intervals to ensure appropriateness and compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
Code of Conduct for suppliers
We endeavor to work with partners who follow similar values and principles as we do. We therefore require our suppliers to sign a declaration of compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Know-Your-Counterparty Policy
We have a know-your-counterparty corporate policy that defines the processes for identifying, assessing and reporting on the risks posed by potential and current business partners. These risks include those from the risk areas of corruption, money laundering, terrorist financing and economic sanctions.

Our Tax Transparency Report provides information on how we deal with tax issues and what tax contributions we made in the reporting year.
Policy statement on the human rights strategy
In accordance with the German Supply Chain Duty of Care Act, we have published our Human Rights Strategy Policy Statement, in which we explain our approach to risk identification and management on these important issues.
